These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website kidsrulecooking.com and the classes, camps, parties, scout sessions, events, and gift certificates offered by Kid's Rule Cooking School ("Kid's Rule," "we," "us," "our"). By booking, purchasing, or using our services, you ("you," the parent/guardian or customer) agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
Kid's Rule provides in-person culinary classes and programs for children, teens, and adults in Salisbury, Massachusetts, including our Crown Chef Summer program, single workshops, private events and parties, scout sessions, and gift certificates.
2. Registration & Accuracy
When you register a child or attendee, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information — including the child's age, allergies and dietary restrictions, emergency contact, and authorized pickup persons. You are responsible for keeping this information up to date.
3. Payments & Pricing
• Prices are listed at the time of booking and may change. Bookings are confirmed when payment is received.
• Payments are processed securely by our third-party processor (Stripe). You authorize the charge for the class, program, or item you select.
• The Crown Chef Summer program is sold per week ($210 per weekly session unless otherwise stated); families book one week at a time.
4. Cancellations, Refunds & Late Pickup
• All sessions are non-refundable, and there are no make-up days. Please book only the dates you can attend.
• We do not offer rescheduling for missed sessions.
• Late pickup fee: a fee of $1 per minute applies for late pickup, to compensate staff who remain with your child. Please arrive on time.
• We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, weather, or unforeseen circumstances; in that case we will offer a credit or refund for the affected session.
5. Allergies, Safety & Assumption of Risk
• Cooking involves inherent risks, including the use of knives, heat, hot surfaces, kitchen equipment, and food allergens. While we take safety seriously and maintain reasonable supervision ratios, you acknowledge these risks on behalf of your child/attendee.
• You must disclose all allergies and dietary restrictions at registration. We make reasonable efforts to accommodate but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
• You confirm your child/attendee is in suitable health to participate.
6. Supervision & Authorized Pickup
• Children will only be released to the parent/guardian or to the authorized pickup persons named at registration. We may request identification.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up children at the scheduled times.
7. Photo & Media Consent
From time to time we may photograph or video classes for our website, social media, and marketing. At registration you may indicate whether you consent to your child appearing in such media. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
8. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are redeemable toward any class, program, or our Crown Chef Summer program, do not expire, and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash (except where required by law).
9. Code of Conduct
We want a fun, respectful kitchen. We reserve the right to remove, without refund, any participant whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive to others.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — recipes, materials, logos, and branding — is owned by or licensed to Kid's Rule and may not be copied or used without permission.
11. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kid's Rule and its owners, staff, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable service. You agree to indemnify and hold Kid's Rule harmless from claims arising out of your or your child's participation, to the extent permitted by law.
12. SMS / Text Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Kid's Rule Cooking School. Program description: booking confirmations, class and appointment reminders, schedule updates, customer-care replies, and — if you separately opt in — marketing and promotional messages about classes, programs, and offers.
• Opt-in: You opt in by submitting your number through our website/booking forms with the applicable consent checkbox, or in person. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Supported carriers may include major U.S. carriers; carrier participation may change.

13. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated Terms.
